PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PADA DEPARTEMEN FURTHER PT. CPI DENGAN METODE STATISTICAL QUALITY CONTROL (SQC)

Abstract
Quality control is a critical aspect of the manufacturing industry to ensure that products meet established standards. This study aims to analyze the application of Statistical Quality Control (SQC) methods to control production quality in the Further Processing Department of PT. CPI. The SQC methods used include control charts for variables and attributes, as well as process capability analysis. Data was collected from the production process over a specific period, covering critical product quality characteristics such as dimensions, weight, and visual defects. The analysis revealed that the production process in the Further Processing Department experienced significant variation, with several data points falling outside the control limits, indicating the presence of special causes of variation. The process was unable to consistently meet established technical specifications. Based on these findings, several corrective actions were recommended, such as equipment recalibration, operator training, and a review of standard operating procedures. Consistent implementation of SQC is expected to improve process stability, reduce defect rates, and enhance customer satisfaction. This study provides a practical contribution to the application of statistical methods for quality control in the manufacturing industry.
